The Difference Between Blogger and Wordpress
Like everything that is technology related, I have tried both of these out. Personal preference, I like Wordpress better than Blogger. That does not mean that you will not like Blogger. In all honestly, it is a great blog software for people whom are just starting out. It may even be good for a season blogger to.
Key Features of Blogger
- Easy to Use
- Can have multiple blogs
- Ability to Add Adsense
Blogger is for some people, but not everyone. It is a perfect blog if you are starting out. If you have nowhere to host your blog, it is a great place to start without having to spend a dime. They do not have a whole lot of templates though.

Key Features of Wordpress
- Easy to use
- Plenty of plugins and themes
The learning curve of Wordpress is a bit longer than blogger, but still its easy to use once you get used to. I think almost anyone can get used to wordpress in no time at all. Alot is trial and error. The best part about it is if you are trying to expand it, you can if you have your own install of it. If you don't have a place to host it, there is wordpress.com where you can be hosted. I am not sure how good the service is there though.
The one thing that Wordpress does not have if you have a standalone is that you can only create one blog unless you create another blog in another directory. The other option is to have wordpress mu which gives you the option to have multiple blogs, but that is rather complicated for someone whom is just learning wordpress.
They Are Both Good
Really, they both great blog sites, but its a matter of what fits you for whatever you are trying to do. Wordpress is more multipurpose than blogger does. They both are really easy when it comes to writing posts.

I preffer blogger because it is free and there is no limit to visitors like wordpress. If you have a shared host with WP you can only get a few visitors a day.
I'm choosing between the two...but I started all my blogs at blogger.
I use both. I've received some steady traffic to my blogger blogs, and to Wordpress. It seems to just depend on how often you post, what you post, and how useful it is. One thing I wish I DID do was host my Wordpress domain on its own before linking to it all over the web. Live and learn!
I started out with blogger. Now I am into Wordpress put into my domain with hosting. Blogger is good too but you cannot extend it to have more capabilities like mailing list, backup, autoresponders like wordpress do.
Wordpress.com is almost the same as wordpress.org blogs but you cannot put Adsense in it like self hosted blogs using wordpress.org.
Wordpress is better in my humble opinion :)
Wordpress all the way. The amazing ammount of free and quality plugins and Themes available is rival by no one.

I've used both and they are both pretty great. I personally prefer Wordpress, just in case I ever want to sell one of my sites.
