Star Trek Online Updates

Star Trek Online has been out for close to 2 years now. They keep adding to the the game over that time. Its seems to be slow when it comes to adding to the game. A lot may have had to do with the resources they have been given. The game itself has been around since February 2010 and the first updated came out around May.

This one did not seem as bad as the Khitomer Accord though. They did add the difficulty and injury system into this update. This was geared to all player levels. The reason they had done this is that many players complained about how the game was to easy, so they added these two items into the game.

With that, you have a few more missions given to you to learn about them. If I remember right, you have a skill trainer, chief medical officer and ship repair that you had to go to learn about them.

Iwas not playing the game when they updated to 1.2, but basically what they did was add Accolades, which are medals. More information about Accolades will be discussed in another hub. They also added a squad system to where you can play with a friend whom has just started out so you can scale down to their level.

Icame back into the game shortly before season two was to be released. I saw the accolade system worked when I first got on the game. I had a whole bunch of accolades that were being updated. Anyways, with this update, you now can get up to Vice Admiral and before you were only able to get to rear admiral. That does not effect me yet as my highest is a captain, but I am getting close to maxing that character out. I am getting closer and closer though.

They did add a tier 5 ship with the new ranks. They added some mini games and among other things.

One thing that I had noticed with this update is if you go on your ship, you can go more places on your ship besides your bridge.

You now have a ready room, captain's quarters, lounge, sickbay, engineering and much more. There is still no function ability, but it is getting closer to being able to do things inside of your ship.

Season 3 was released in December with many updates like they updated the crafting system to be easier to do. Sector spaces was changed to be more realistic. We are now able to replay missions. They also added more content for the Klingon side. The foundry was still in Beta on their tribble server.

In between these major updates, there are also featured episodes that they are adding in. There are many so I am currently not going to name what kind of updates that they have added on that end. If you look at their event calender on their site, you will find that information out.

Well, why did I wait till the end to add this? Well, I felt that this belonged at the end. I have added some updates and added items to it through the course of all the updates. I will not list what they have as you can look at their website Here
